The opening sequence shows various photographic and painted views as well as Oklahoma landmarks superimposed on the New York landscape: Statue of Sioux Indian Chief "Touch the Clouds" wearing a military bonnet and necklace (breastplate) of bones placed on top of the Brooklyn Bridge The Gold Digger Statue placed on LibertyRoute 66 Western Gateway Arch Statue placed on a major Manhattan “avenue”. In New York, in the Manhattan area, these are several numbered "Avenues" which are crossed by streets with smaller numbers.. I don’t think any other actor could have played this role.
And filming in Tulsa gives the series a "flavor" vs
Sly is bigger than the small screen and is given the best lines on this show. I’ve only watched the 1st ep on YT, I don’t have Paramount, but if there’s anything else being released on YT I’d definitely check it out. His supporting cast is nameless, I don’t recognize any of the other actors.

I think Stallone peaked with the Creed movies and this TV show. His age reflects well. I’m glad it’s away from those action movies that I think I’ve outgrown.
