Original stories set in the world of iconic video games are featured in this animated anthology series. Video games have taken the giant leap to the screen, and we celebrate the genre with a closer look at over 50 video game adaptations into films and shows. Clive Standen will reprise his voice role as Demetrius Titus, the main character from the Space Marine 2 video game. The episode is set after the events of the game.. Featured in Film Junk Podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). The animation is beautiful, that much is undeniable. However, I struggle to get excited about episodes this short. They feel like attempts at discipleship. You can’t get fully engrossed, because you know it’s over before you’ve even managed to make any kind of connection with the characters. It was nice to see some celebrity involvement. Both Reeves and Arnie play enjoyable roles. It’s just that it all feels a bit too experimental and superficial for me. Also, if I had a choice in the source material. I guess I would have chosen a completely different set of games to stick with. The Pacman episode was okay. But it was a demonstration of how artistic license was taken to the extreme. At least it made me laugh. Overall, I found the whole series a bit overwhelming. 6 for visuals.
