Narrative
In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, ends up in a high-profile job she’s ill-suited to, with tectonic implications for her marriage and political future. The producers convinced both the American and British governments to allow them to use real-life settings as filming locations for the series, including the newly opened U.S. Britain allowed filming to take place in the Foreign Secretary’s office.

One location that was missing was Winfield House, the actual residence of the U.S. ambassador. Although it is accurately described as the largest residential estate in London (11 acres) besides Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming.

The Diplomat has everything you could want in a great series… it has comedy, drama, great acting and writing, etc. etc. The series is about a diplomat (Keri Russell) who has a new job as the UK ambassador after an international crisis when an aircraft carrier is attacked.
I am definitely looking forward to watching it and seeing where this show goes
She also has a deal with her husband (Rufus Sewell), who is already a political star, and their rocky marriage. I love this show so much that I binged all eight episodes in one weekend. It has done so well and been so well received that it has already been renewed early for a second season.
